Synthetic ester‑type transformer insulating oil is produced by synthesizing a variety of saturated fatty acids with pentaerythritol under specific conditions. It exhibits excellent lubricity, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, outstanding dielectric properties, and a high breakdown voltage. Additionally, it offers superior flame retardancy, exceptional thermal‑oxidative stability, and an extremely low moisture content, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including power transformers up to 238 kW, traction transformers, pole‑mounted transformers, and transformers equipped with tap changers.
