| Product Overview
SynCold® AB series products are synthetic alkylbenzene refrigeration lubricants specifically developed for commercial and industrial refrigeration and air‑conditioning compressors. SynCold® AB is suitable for both reciprocating and rotary compressors. It exhibits excellent thermal and chemical stability, good miscibility with refrigerants such as R22 and HCFC blends, and can be tailored to meet the performance requirements of systems operating across a wide temperature range, from low to high temperatures.SynCold® AB series refrigeration lubricants exhibit an extremely low tendency to foam and are fully miscible with mineral refrigeration oils in any proportion.
The SynCold® AB series products exhibit excellent solubility in refrigeration lubricants (two-layer separation temperature with refrigerant: 20% oil, 80% R22 at −60°C).
SynCold® AB 68 has been specifically developed for ammonia (R717) applications, delivering excellent high- and low‑temperature performance even under elevated temperatures or at evaporating temperatures below –33°C. SynCold® AB 68 is also suitable for systems using hydrocarbons such as R600a as the refrigerant, in conjunction with refrigerants R402A/B. Compared with conventional mineral oils, this product offers superior high‑ and low‑temperature performance and enhanced safety, as evidenced by improved viscosity index, flash point, fire point, and pour point.
