The ester‑based base oils for internal combustion engines are produced by reacting neopentyl polyols with saturated fatty acids under specific, proprietary process conditions, followed by a specialized post‑treatment refining step. They are particularly well suited as base stocks for engine oils in viscosity grades such as 0W‑16, 0W‑20, 0W‑30, 0W‑40, and 0W‑50. These esters can be blended into PAO, GTL oils, and Group III hydrogenated base oils.
